State, City, and Community Businesses Celebrate º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Founding Day
This Friday, February 9 is officially “º£½ÇÉçÇø Day” throughout the state. That’s the day º£½ÇÉçÇø was founded exactly 150 years ago in Colorado Springs. To mark º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Sesquicentennial, proclamations from both the City of Colorado Springs and the State of Colorado signed this week by Mayor Yemi Mobolade and Governor Jared Polis both commemorate February 9, 2024, as º£½ÇÉçÇø Day.
Area businesses are joining in the celebration by offering deals and discounts on food and beverage. Josh & John’s Ice Cream and Poor Richard’s Restaurant, both founded by º£½ÇÉçÇø alums, encourage people to wear their º£½ÇÉçÇø spirit wear to get a discount on food.
