🎭 Broadway Theatre League Award
Recipient: Beth Thompson
The Broadway Theatre League Award is presented to an outstanding Theatre & Dance student whose work has made a meaningful contribution to the department. Established through a gift from the Broadway Theatre League in 1965, the award continues to recognize excellence in theatre and performance.
Beth Thompson receives this year's award in recognition of her exceptional artistry, collaborative spirit, and dedication to the Department of Theatre & Dance. Beth consistently demonstrated professionalism, creativity, and a commitment to supporting both her fellow students and the artistic community, making her an outstanding representative of the department.
🏆 Pamela Riley Prize
Recipient: Carina Rockart
The Pamela Riley Prize recognizes the graduating senior who exemplifies the qualities Pamela Riley brought to the Department of Theatre & Dance: devoted service, artistic excellence, fearless dedication, and a commitment to the community.
Carina Rockart is the 2026 recipient in recognition of her outstanding dedication to the department and her exceptional commitment to her creative work. Through her ambitious senior thesis, "Dance, Wingless Child", and her continued investment in the artistic life of the department, Carina demonstrated the creativity, perseverance, and high standards of excellence this award celebrates.
🎬 Ida L. Smith '95 Theatre Award
Recipient: Magdalyn Rowley-Lange
Established in 2026 by Brigid Maher '95 in memory of her friend Ida LaVonne Smith '95, the Ida L. Smith '95 Theatre Award supports a junior or senior Theatre & Dance student who has demonstrated a commitment to furthering their acting or directing training in professional settings.
Magdalyn Rowley-Lange is the inaugural recipient of this award. Selected by the Theatre & Dance faculty, Magdalyn was recognized for her dedication to the craft of theatre and her commitment to continued artistic growth. As the first recipient of the Ida L. Smith '95 Theatre Award, she represents the spirit of curiosity, passion, and lifelong learning that inspired the creation of this award.
