For Parents

While your student is living in 海角社区 housing, your student's address will be:

Student's first & last name
海角社区 College Mail # (Your student has access to this on Banner)
819 North Tejon Street
Colorado Springs, CO 80903

To make sure your student receives their mail/package fast, please use the name listed on their college record on all letters and packages.

  • Preferred names: If your student goes by a different name day-to-day, they must update their information with the registrar and the Mail Center staff.
  • Nick names can be fun, but the Mail Center staff does not know which “Favorite Child” the package is for.
  • Items without the correct address, first & last name, and the 海角社区 Mail number may be delayed during the delivery process, misdelivered, or returned.
  • 海角社区 Mail Number
    • You will need to ask your student for their 海角社区 Mail number. They're able to look their number up in banner. Most assignments are available by late July . Winter starts will have the  assignments available January 1st.
    • Once assigned a 海角社区 Mail number, this will be your student's number for the duration of their stay at 海角社区. If your student takes a year or more off the number will be reassigned.

  • When a student receives mail/packages we receive them into our tracking system. The student will receive an email when mail/packages are ready for pick up.
    • The email will be different depending on whether it is available for pick up from the lockers or if they need to come to the service counter.

      Mail and Package Process

      • First 24 Hours: Packages and mail are loaded in the package lockers for students to retrieve with the individualized code they receive in an email. They can access the lockers 7 days a week from 8 a.m. – 9 p.m.
      • After 24 Hours: Our friendly staff removes unretrieved items from the lockers and stores them behind the service counter.
      • Pick Up: Students are then able to pick up items behind the College Mail Center counter Monday – Friday, 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Students love receiving mail and packages! They receive an alert when an item arrives and usually rush to pick it up.  We hold all nonperishable items for 10 days and send several reminder emails before anything is returned or recycled to make room for new deliveries.

    What You Should Know

    • 10-day limit: Items stay safe for 10 days from the first notice.
    • Student alerts: Your student gets multiple reminders to pick up their item.
    • Space limits: Unclaimed packages and mail are sent back or cleared up to save space for new incoming items.
  • Students may request that we hold their mail and packages when they are unable to pick them up during this timeframe. They can also grant another person permission to pick up for them via email.
  • To request mail forwarding students must fill out the forwarding form on the mail services website under "for students" tab.
  • Signature required items can be sent to the mail center. We sign on the student's behalf.
  • If ordering an item from Amazon and they require a code for delivery the student must give us this code or Amazon will not release the package to us.
  • If you have a new incoming student, please wait until August 1st to ship items to campus.

  • The Mail Center does not have refrigeration. If you send perishable items to your student, please bear this in mind. We recommend that you communicate with your student to insure they pick these items up in a timely fashion.
  • To keep spoilable goods in excellent condition and safe, check with your student to be sure they will be on campus and available to pick up the items you are sending. They will receive an alert from the Mail Center once the item is ready for pickup. To keep the mail center smelling fresh, please remind your student to pick up perishables within 24 hours of arrival, as items left longer may be cleared away by our staff.

  • At the Mail Center your student can purchase stamps & envelopes as well as ship packages through FedEx, USPS & UPS
  • The service counter is open 8:30am-4:00pm Monday-Friday
  • Your student can access the package lockers 7 days a week, 8:00am-9:00pm
  • We get a great discount on shipping services, so make sure to use us when your student needs to ship out at the end of the year!
